Getting back into Fedora Infra Development

A couple years ago I did a co-op with Redhat working for the Fedora Infrastructure team. During that time I was developing Tahrir. After that summer internship I got busy with school, so I stopped working on fedora-infra projects. Since then I’ve thought about contributing again and this semester an oppertunity to do so for class credit appeared. As a part of the Advanced Foss class I get credit for any work I push upstream. I’ve started out contributing again with a few small patches info fmn.lib, fmn.web, and datagrepper. For fmn.lib I added some logic to support enabling/disabling filters. In fmn.web I added buttons to enable/disable filters. This change builds on my changes in fmn.lib. The final patch I submitted added a footer to datagrepper that disables the current version of the code. These patches are small but I’m happy to be contributing to Fedora Infra again. Finally, I would like to thank Ralph Bean for giving me suggestions of things to work on.
